Santa, Sleigh Rides, and Homegrown Pecans

This Saturday from 10a – noon, Santa is offering family photo opportunities and market sleigh rides. Bring the whole family for some extra holiday cheer while you pick up foods to fill your pantry and gifts to share with your family and friends.

Our market manager, Bo, is sharing her family’s freshly harvested pecans from her backyard tree.  She’s enlisted her kids to sell and crack the nuts using their favorite nutcrackers.

We’ve scheduled extra visiting artists this week, so you are sure to find the perfect holiday gift at Uptown.  You’ll find unique jewelry, hand-carved canes, adorable baby clothes, aprons with festive print, hand-painted children’s chairs, artisan cutting boards, hand-crafted soaps, lawn art, herbal face wash and so much more.
If a local food gift is what you’re looking for, visit our information booth where you can purchase a ready-to-stock, festive basket complete with cellophane, stuffing, bow and card.  Just fill the basket with purchased market goodies of your choice, and your locavore-friend is taken care of. We recommend a quick stop by Sal, the cake pop gal, as she has a talent for making those baskets really look cute.
Remember, a simple gift of an Uptown gift certificate is available (and wrapped with a bow) at the info booth.
Have you seen? The beautiful new Winter 2014 Edible Phoenix magazines are now available at the information booth.  Take a look at the inside cover to see what our market has planned in the upcoming months.
W
e want to give a shout out to the North Phoenix Baptist Church for hosting us every Saturday, for providing delicious Cartel Coffee paired with Superstition Farm cream, and for providing candy canes up at the market information station! If you’re looking for a Christmas service this season, they are celebrating Christmas Eve with music and worship at their annual candlelight service on Wednesday, December 24 (either 4pm or 6pm service).
Don’t forget to pop by and introduce yourself to our NEW VENDORS (including Urban Survival).  We are striving to make this market a welcoming stop for you and your kids every Saturday morning.  Please let us know if there’s anything else you’d like to see, or any local products that we can source for you.
Love,
Bo & Jen
